Most people put off a loft clearance because they picture the job: the ladder, the dust, the boxes, the trips to the tip. Here’s how loft clearance works with us, start to finish.
Step by step
- 1. Send a photo. One or two pictures of the loft through our photo quote page.
- 2. Get a price. John comes back with a real price for the whole job.
- 3. We come round — usually the next day, seven days a week.
- 4. We do the ladder work and the lifting. You point at what stays, we climb, carry and load the rest.
- 5. It’s gone — disposed of legally. Johns Waste Management is SEPA registered.
Before we arrive
- Set aside what you’re keeping — or just tell us on the day.
- Clear a path from the hatch to the front door.
Shed and garage too? Same photo quote, same visit. More on our loft and shed clearances.
What usually comes out of a loft
- Boxes from the last move, never unpacked.
- Old toys, cots and prams kept “just in case”.
- Suitcases, lamps and furniture nobody uses.
Why people put it off — and why they needn’t
The ladder, the heat or cold up there, the weight of boxes, the trips to the tip. Every one of those is our job, not yours. The only decision you need to make is what stays.
Most loft clearances take one visit, and the price comes from your photo before we arrive.
It helps to think about access before we arrive. A clear route from the hatch to the front door, somewhere to put the ladder and a light in the loft all make the job quicker. If there’s anything fragile you want to keep, move it aside first or tell us on the day.
